Cotton fabric is the main force in the textile field, but its fiber surface is relatively smooth, dye molecules are not easy to attach. Cellulase plays an important role in this process, which is like a microcosmic "engraver", carrying out controlled etching on the surface of cotton fibers. At the right temperature 45-55℃,and PH4.5-5.5.cellulase acts on the amorphous region on the surface of the fiber, causing it to produce tiny grooves and bumps, increasing the surface area of the fiber and opening up more "habitats" for dye molecules. After cellulase treatment, the dyeing rate of cotton fabric is 20%-30% higher than that of untreated cotton fabric, and the color after dyeing is more full and gorgeous, and the color fastness is correspondingly enhanced, which meets the needs of consumers for high-quality color textiles.

After dyeing, there are always some dyes remaining on the surface of the fabric that are not chemically bonded with the fiber, that is, floating colors, which not only affect the appearance of the fabric, but also fade in the subsequent wearing and washing process, reducing the color fastness. Laccase, as a copper containing oxidoreductase, has become an effective assistant to solve this problem. It can use the oxygen in the air as an oxidizing agent to catalyze the oxidation of floating color dye molecules, so that their structure is changed and converted into small molecules that are easily soluble in water, so as to escape from the surface of the fabric. In practical applications, the friction color fastness of the fabric treated with laccase
can be increased by 1 to 2 leves.
and the color fastness to washing is also significantly improved. More importantly, compared with the traditional soap washing process, which requires a large amount of detergent, the laccase treatment process greatly reduces the amount of chemical additives, reduces the burden of wastewater treatment, and realizes clean production.
